Game
#8 - Pope 3/22/07 (W 1 - 0) WOW!!! Kell Lady Longhorns traveled
to Pope's stadium to battle the Greyhounds and came away with
a hard fought victory. The Kell Longhorns were serious about this
game and it showed. This is one of the best games that they have
ever played. The Greyhound's were ranked no. 1 in our region but
they could not find their way past the Longhorns. Due to a lack
of officiating, this game became very physical. Pope's team is
very big but they were not able to use their size to intimidate
the Longhorns. The game stayed very even during the first half
with both teams executing well and making runs on the Goal. JoJo
Smith played a great game in goal with many good saves, glad your
back. Late in the first half, Tasia Williams made a long run from
the Kell zone and dribbled the ball the length of the field. She
blew right by the Pope Defender. It was a fantastic run. Once
clear of the defender, she executed a perfectly placed crossing
pass at the feet of a streaking Jasmine Noel who pounded the ball
into the back of the net. This was the only score of the game.
Pope tried to use their size to muscle out a score late in the
game. The Kell defense never weakened. On one play JoJo was out
of position after making a great save. The net was open and Pope
attempted a shot that was blocked by an ever present Rachel Shelton,
great save. Also having an excellent game this week was Jordan
Springfield. When ever Pope started to mount an attack, she came
though to shut them down. WAY TO GO LADIES!!!
Game
#7 - Sprayberry 3/13/07 (W 2-0) This was a very physical game
with a great deal of contact initiated by both teams. The Kell
Women were not intimated by the play and worked hard to secure
this victory. The half ended with no goals scored. Kell came out
in the second half and raised their level of play. The first goal
was scored by Ashley Hofmeister off of a beautiful crossing pass
from Lauren Scott. Lauren went one on one against the Sprayberry
defender deep in the corner and beat her to make the pass. The
second score was created much the same way. Tasia Williams beat
a defender deep in the corner and executed a crossing pass to
Carolyn Craddock who's shot was deflected by the goalie. Christina
Robinson finished the play by sending the ball into the back of
the net for the second score.
Game
#6 - Roswell 3/9/07 (W 5-2) Kell can roaring back from their frustrating
loss at Milton to display a dominate game against Roswell. Roswell
put a scare into the Longhorns by scoring first while only a few
minutes into the game. This seemed to motivate the Kell players
and they never looked back. One each goal was scored by Carolyn
Craddock, Theresa Henry and Devon Toby. Christina Robinson had
a strong night with two goals scored. The women were quick to
the ball and dominated most of the play.
Game
#5 - Milton 3/6/07 (L PK) This game finished in a 2 - 2 tie. The
final regulation goal was made by Kell to tie the game with almost
no time remaining. The game ended in a tie. Unfortunately Kell's
luck ran out in the shoot off. They lost on the third round of
penality kicks.

# 3 - Wheeler - 2/27/07 (W 1-0) The Lady Longhorns played a tough
match at Wheeler High School and came away with a well deserved
win. They are now 2-0 overall. The Wheeler game was their first
region game. The year is off to a strong start for the Women's
Varsity.

temperatures. The schedule will be updated if a new date is defined.
Game
# 1- North Cobb - 2/15/07 (W 3-0) The Kell Longhorn Women started
the season on a positive note with a convincing win against North
Cobb High. The Kell team completely dictated the game pace and
demonstrated their dominance with a shutout victory. The Kell
defense controlled the game on our end of the field and prevented
any sort of attach against our goal. The scoring was evenly shared
by all the positions with one goal each from Jasime Noel, Christina
Robinson and Rachel Webster.
